What helps
Acne starts in the pore: oil, skin cells and bacteria block it, and inflammation follows. A steady, gentle routine helps most people more than strong products changed often.
Give a routine eight to twelve weeks before you judge it. Add one treatment at a time, and keep moisturizer and sunscreen in the routine so the skin tolerates it.
See a dermatologist if acne is deep or painful, leaves marks or scars, or has not improved after three months. Prescription treatment works where over-the-counter products stop.
