Dr. Guo is a double board-certified medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologist with fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He has a full spectrum practice with a focus on skin cancer surgery and aesthetic medicine including cosmetic injectables and laser treatments. Dr. Guo’s academic journey began at the University of British Columbia where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Science, majoring in Cell Biology and Genetics. This fostered an interest in scientific research. He pursued this interest at the University of Alberta where he obtained a master’s degree in Experimental Medicine and received numerous awards and accolades for his research, leadership, and community contribution. These include the distinguished Stars of Alberta award. Dr. Guo went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Calgary and then returned to the UBC to complete his dermatology residency. Here he served as the Chief Resident. During his residency, he received surgical and cosmetic training at more than 15 prestigious institutions in Canada, the US, and Asia. After becoming a board-certified dermatologist in both Canada and the United States, Dr. Guo pursued a sub-specialization in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the University of Toronto receiving his fellowship accreditation.
Dr. Guo is board-certified in Canada and the US and has 16 years of post-secondary education. He has received surgical and cosmetic training at more than 15 prestigious institutions in Canada, the US, and Asia. He is a fellowship-accredited Mohs surgeon with expert knowledge on facial anatomy and surgical reconstruction.
