Note, however, that this treatment is less effective at removing hair that does not absorb light very well, namely gray, red, blond, and white hair.
Areas with tattoos should also not be treated with laser hair removal.
What are the expected results of this treatment?
Hair loss is not immediate. Rather, you will shed your hair in the course of days or weeks. Because hair loss triggers regrowth, complete laser hair removal usually requires 2 to 6 sessions. Expect slight discomfort during the treatment and possibly some redness and swelling for a few hours after each treatment.
The results last from several months to a few years. After this timeframe, your hair will regrow finer and lighter in colour. Continued laser treatments can remove this hair as well.
